9 Day North and South Guided

Day 1 The Coromandel Loop

  • Transfer from Auckland the evening prior, the tour starts away from Auckland traffic by doing the Coromandel Loop
  • A stunning ride with many twists and turns, riding along stunning coastline with mountain views

Day 2 Waihi – Waioweka Gorge – Gisborne

  • Head towards the East Cape through the kiwifruit growing area of Katikati
  • Ride along the stunning coastal roads in the Bay of Plenty before cutting inland to end the day riding through endless twists and turns of the Waioeka Gorge
  • Option to enjoy an evening Kapa Haka maori show, high above Gisborne in the natural outdoors

Day 3 Gisborne – Lake Taupo

  • The ride today takes you along a coastal ride through the wine growing region of the Hawkes Bay
  • Stop for lunch in the art deco town of Napier before continuing inland to the Central Plateau
  • Spending two nights in Taupo

Day 4 Lake Taupo (Free Day)

  • Today take the opportunity to relax and experience Taupo’s many attractions including Huka Falls, Geothermal Parks, Boat Trips, Skydives, Bungy Jumps and many more..
  • Or take a day ride around Lake Taupo

Day 5 Taupo – Wellington

  • A longer day of riding heading south through Tongariro National Park past it’s 3 distinctive volcanos
  • Finishing the day at the southern tip of the North Island in Wellington

Day 6 Wellington – Picton – Nelson

  • Relax on the ferry from Wellington to Picton as you journey across the Cook Strait into the stunning Queen Charlotte Sound
  • A short afternoon ride from Picton to Nelson along the challenging twists and turns of the Queen Charlotte Drive

Day 7 Nelson – Punakaiki

  • Today’s ride takes you through the Buller Gorge
  • Before heading out to the coast and traveling down the West Coast stopping at Punakaiki Rocks

Day 8 Punikaiki – Hanmer Springs

  • Zig zag across the South Island taking in the magnificent Southern Alps mountain passes
  • Traveling through Lewis Pass following a meandering course along a succession of rivers to Hanmer Springs

Day 9 Hanmer Springs to Christchurch

  • Finish up the tour by riding from Hanmer Springs to Christchurch
  • First head north to the seafood and whale watching town of Kaikoura before heading south through the wine growing region of Wairapa
  • Arrive in the garden city of Christchurch concluding a fantastic tour of New Zealand

14 Day North and South Island

Day 8 Nelson – Punakai

  • Today’s ride takes you through the Buller Gorge with it’s many twist and turns
  • Ending the day with viewing the magnificent splendour of the Punakaiki Rocks

Day 9 Punikaiki – Hanmer Springs

  • Zig zag across the South Island taking in the magnificent Southern Alps mountain passes
  • Traveling through Lewis Pass following a meandering course along a succession of rivers to Hanmer Springs

Day 10 Hanmer Springs – Arthurs Pass

  • Travel through Lewis Pass and onto Arthurs Pass National Park traveling up and over the majestic mountain pass

Day 11 Arthurs Pass – Fox Glacier

  • Travel towards Hokitika, famous for its green stone
  • Continue on down the stunning West Coast, a beautiful coastal ride with high mountain ranges on your left and ocean on your right

Day 12 Fox Glacier  – Cardrona

  • Continue south along the coast before heading up and over Haast Pass
  • Traveling through the lakeside town of Wanaka and up the Crown Range Road to the Historic Cardrona Hotel for the night

Day 13 Cardona – Te Anau

  • Zig zag down the other side of the Crown Range Road towards Queenstown
  • Stop for some sightseeing or travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy
  • Early afternoon travel on the town of Te Anau
  • Option to join an evening glowworm cave tour

Day 14 Te Anau – Milford Sound – Te Anau

  • Today zig zag through the valleys and mountain passes towards Milford Sound
  • Ride through the one kilometre natural rock Homer Tunnel
  • Enjoy a 2 hour boat cruise through the Sound for those who wish
  • Leisurely ride back to Te Anau for the evening

18 Day North and South Island

Day 1 Christchurch – Rakaia Gorge – Lake Tekapo

  • Depart the garden city of Christchurch traveling across the Canterbury Plains through the stunning Rakaia Gorge
  • Continuing south to Lake Tekapo with it’s glacial turquoise colouring and views of Mount Cook

Day 2 Lake Tekapo – Dunedin

  • Heading further south and then out to the coast to Oamaru where there is time to visit the blue penguin colony
  • Following the coast south finishing the day in the Scottish like town of Dunedin

Day 3 Dunedin – The Caitlins – Invercargill

  • Ride through the beautiful Caitlins region of Southland, a place of hidden waterfalls, river valleys and picturesque rocky bays
  • Visit the 180 million year old Petrified Forest in Curio bay, if you are lucky you may spot a penguin, seal or dolphin
  • Continue on to Invercargill with the option to ride further to the oyster town of Bluff

Day 4 Invercargill – Te Anau

  • Start the day with a late start and a lie in, today ride along the Southern Scenic Route towards the Southern Alps
  • Arrive in the beautiful lakeside town of Te Anau by lunchtime, giving you the afternoon to explore, relax or take a glowworm cave tour across the lake by boat
  • Stay 2 nights in Te Anau

Day 5 Te Anau – Milford Sound – Te Anau

  • Today zig zag through the valleys and mountain passes towards Milford Sound
  • Ride through the one kilometre natural rock Homer Tunnel
  • Enjoy a 2 hour boat cruise through the Sound for those who wish
  • Leisurely ride back to Te Anau for the evening

Day 6 Te Anau – Cardrona

  • Ride north through Queenstown for an afternoon of sightseeing or continue onto Glenorchy along the shores of Lake Wakatipu
  • Late afternoon zig zag up the Crown Range Road to the Historic Cardrona hotel for the night

Day 7 Cardrona – Fox Glacier

  • Continue north towards the West Coast of New Zealand, renowned for it’s heavy rainfall but also staggeringly beautiful
  • Stopping in for an eating experience at the Bushman’s Cafe
  • Cruise on into Fox Glacier for the night

Day 8 Fox Glacier – Arthurs Pass

  • Today continue up the stunning West Coast, a beautiful coastal ride with high mountain ranges on your right and ocean on your left
  • Turning off at Hokitika, famous for its green stone, heading inland to Arthurs Pass for the night

Day 9 Arthurs Pass to Hanmer Springs

  • Ride out of Arthurs Pass National Park traveling up and over the majestic mountain pass
  • Then up and over the next mountain pass, Lewis Pass, onto Hanmer Springs
  • Sit and relax in the natural hot thermal pools

Day 10 Hanmer Springs – Punakaiki

  • Follow the meandering course along a succession of rivers through the Lewis Pass
  • Zig zig towards the coast taking in the magnificent Southern Alps mountain passes

Day 11 Punakaiki – Nelson

  • Start the day with viewing the magnificent splendour of the Punakaiki Rocks
  • Today’s ride take you through the Buller Gorge with it’s many twist and turns
  • Stay 2 nights in Nelson

Day 12 Nelson (Free Day)

Day 17 Gisborne – Wiaoweka Gorge – Waihi

  • Wind through the twists and turns of the Waioeka Gorge before travel through the kiwifruit growing area of Katikati and onto Waihi for the night

Day 18 Waihi – Coromandel Loop – Waihi

  • Cruise the spectacular Pacific Coastal Highway around the volcanic Coromandel Peninsula one of the most stunning motorbike rides in New Zealand
  • Take in fantastic views of the ocean, beaches, volcanic mountains and dense native bush
  • Visit the idyllic Coromandel Township for lunch before heading on around the peninsula stopping at the iconic kiwi Coromandel Tavern and Hot Water Beach
  • Concluding this fantastic tour in Waihi
