Activity Options

Magic Maketu

  • View expanses of Kiwifruit orchards and farms from above and discover a sacred, ancient Maori fortification site. See the landing point of the historically-significant Te Aroha canoe, run along windswept beaches and view wetlands.
  • 12 minutes. Minimum 2 people.

Mount & City

  • View the beautiful main Mount Maunganui beach, fly around “The Mount” & through the harbour entrance, then enjoy stunning views of the Tauranga Harbour & Port of Tauranga.
  • 12 minutes. Minimum 2 people.

Papamoa Hills

  • Take in the stunning views of the Mount’s main beach followed by Tauranga City.
  • Then view the Ancient Maori Pa sites in the Papamoa Hills. Cross a ‘Fruit bowl’ of Kiwifruit & Avocado orchards along with fertile country side, meandering rivers and untouched wetlands.
  • 20 minutes. Minimum 2 people.

Mount & Maketu Experience

  • Fly over Mt Maunganui and Tauranga, taking in picturesque Port and Harbour views.
  • Your pilot then takes you out over the Papamoa Hills to see historic Maori Pa sites before heading for Maketu where you can view the very first landing point of the Arawa canoe.

Whangamata & Waihi Gold Mine

  • Fly past the iconic Mount Maunganui as you head along the coast to the isolated beach town of Whangamata. See the wind swept beach of Matakana Island.
  • From Whangamata head inland over the bush and farm land to Waihi Gold mine. At nearly 260 m deep and nearly 1 km wide it’s hard to miss.

Tarawera & Rotorua Experience

  • Fly over vast expanses of flourishing native forests. View the many geothermal areas of the Bay of Plenty.
