Day 1 Arrive Christchurch

Arrive in Christchurch – New Zealand’s Garden City. Collect your rental car from the airport, discover the city or relax in your Christchurch accommodation at Peppers Clearwater Resort and Golf Club.

If you would like to explore Christchurch this afternoon, your options include visiting the Canterbury Museum where you can find rare Maori artefacts; the stories behind them will fascinate you. The museum has a frequent range of special exhibitions, a café and a gift shop for you to browse. Other recommended activities include the Christchurch Gondola, Tramway, Punting on the Avon River and the Botanical Gardens Tour.

Day 2 Christchurch New Zealand Golf

Day 3 Lake Tekapo

Day 4 Queenstown

Day 6 Queenstown

In the afternoon enjoy a breathtaking scenic helicopter flight taking you over the Remarkables mountain range and Kawarau river. Watch jet boats race up the Shotover and take in the amazing Lake Wakatipu from the air. Landing in the Wakatipu Basin for a great photo opportunity and to take in the surrounding mountains. This 20 minute flight will be a highlight of your travels.

Day 7 Wanaka

Drive over the beautiful Crown Range, one of New Zealand’s highest alpine roads, and admire the vistas from fantastic viewing points. Be sure to stop at the historic Cardrona Hotel for a refreshment before your arrival into Wanaka boasting panoramic views, a relaxed atmosphere and a myriad of walking tracks. There is so much on offer in Wanaka, enjoy one of the many stunning walking tracks; take a look around Wanaka’s boutique shops, visit Puzzling World, Wanaka’s iconic illusional attraction as well as the famous National Toy and Transport Museum and Warbirds and Wheels Museum, or just sit back and relax and take in the stunning views.

Day 8 Wanaka New Zealand Golf

Today play a challenging 18 holes of golf at the picturesque Wanaka Golf Course surrounded by mountains and overlooking Lake Wanaka! It is nestled above the township of Wanaka boasting superb views and a very high standard of course maintenance. The course at Wanaka Golf Club is set in spectacular alpine scenery. The front nine is blessed with views over Lake Wanaka township to the lake and mountains beyond.  The back nine has more of a parkland feel with tree-lined fairways and views of Mount Iron, Mount Gold and the Cardrona Valley. Day 9 Franz Josef

Driving time Wanaka to Franz Josef 284 km / 176 miles, 4 hours

Discover the Haast Pass Highway where there are many short walks and natural attractions to view along the way. Continue north, through dense rain forest broken by rugged coastal vistas, towards New Zealand’s glaciers.

Day 10 Greymouth > Christchurch

Train travel Greymouth to Christchurch 223 km / 138 miles, 4.5 hours
