Golden Bay is located between The Kahurangi & Abel Tasman National Parks. All of the stunning scenery, beaches, walks and attractions of the bay are just a short distance away from your chalet.

The Sandcastle is a popular place to stay so booking early is recommended.

Garden

The gardens have been created to take advantage of natural features within the valley. This allows wide views to the sea and Northern Rata covered limestone cliffs at Pohara.

Many native trees have been planted to attract birds. It seems to work, as the dawn chorus can be over-whelming. Tuis, Kereru (NZ pigeon), Kingfishers, Fantails and Bellbirds are often seen.

Should you stroll in the grounds you will find a tranquil pond, local sculpture, an olive grove, orchards, kitchen garden and much more.

The gardens are very safe for the children as we are a long way from the main road, and they can enjoy a forest play area with a sand pit and rope swing.

At night, view the southern night sky & listen out for the Morepork (native owl) from your deck.
