Taupo Lake Adventures

Bravado III is a luxurious 11 metre (36 feet) Markline 1100 vessel with twin Volvo Penta 210hp engines capable of cruising at 20 knots.

Whether you wish to go fishing for the world renown Taupo Rainbow and Brown Trout, take in the spectacular scenery around the lake or enjoy a meal out on the lake, Bravado III is the boat that can provide luxury and comfort in all weather conditions.

Activity Options

BOAT CHARTER

Charter Bravado III for the time that suits you and for as long as you require and we will take you out on the lake for an experience you will remember. Your comfort, enjoyment and success is our aim.

DAWN BREAKER

Get up with the birds and come harling a fly at dawn from 5.00am to 8.00am. This is a great time to be out on the lake and the most exciting method for catching Trout from a boat.

SUN DOWNER

Wind down and relax after a busy day with dinner onboard Bravado III. We will take you to a sheltered and scenic spot and anchor up for dinner. Take a swim off the duck board, enjoy the twilight with a glass of wine and see the city lights across the water as we return to Taupo Boat Harbour.

THE BIG DAY OUT

This is a six hour (minimum) excursion to the pristine Western Bays of Taupo where the angling pressure is low, the trout are large and the scenery breath taking. Includes six hours cruising and fishing, morning and afternoon tea/coffee, a catered lunch and visits to points of interest around the lake.

Facilities

Bravado III is fully equipped to ensure your comfort while out on the lake.

  • Full galley with stove, fridge and freezer, a BBQ
  • On board toilet
  • Sound system and television
  • For those glorious fine days we have a flying bridge from which you can take in the views, the sun and the fresh air in absolute comfort

Duration

Minimum of 1 hour for a scenic cruise and 2 hours for a fishing trip. No maximum time.

On demand, weather and lake conditions permitting.

  • Bravado III is surveyed by the Maritime Safety Authority to carry up to 19 passengers
  • All our trips are subject to weather and lake conditions permitting
  • We supply all fishing tackle and required Department of Conservation fishing licence’s
