Activity Options

Your tour guides take a personal pride in making sure you have a fun, relaxed and informative day. All wine tour guides are wine lovers themselves and really enjoy sharing their knowledge.

Full Day Wine Tour

• Departs 10.30am and returns 5.00pm – daily – all year round
• Discover the diversity of Marlborough’s famous wine valley as you visit approximately 6 – 7 venues
• All tasting costs are included in the price and a winery lunch stop is included at your own cost

Half Day Wine Tour

• Departs 1.30pm and returns 5.30pm – daily – all year round
• Immerse yourself in the heart of the vineyards
• You will be collected and taken on a tour through Marlborough wine country
• Visit approximately 4 – 5 venues
• Flexibility is the key, your preferences can usually be accommodated

Gourmet Wine Experience

• Departs Picton 10.15am, Blenheim 10.45am November to April (Not Mondays).

• The vineyard tour starts at the family owned Herzog Winery, established in the early 1990’s, it is home to premier wines of the region, including world class Pinot Noir.

• Visit Johanneshof underground cellars where vintage harvests rest & mature 20 metres below ground in NZ’s first rock cellar. Taste one of the finest Methode Traditionelles in the Marlborough.

• After dining on a gourmet 4 course wine matched lunch at Alan Scott Wines, relax in the unique mud brick building and taste a range of wines – a taste sensation.

• At Grove Mill, experience a unique Aroma Demonstration. Smell the bouquets common to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Taste fine wines matched with tasty morsels and see different grapes growing in Grove Mill’s unique Vine Library. Grove Mill also boasts a wonderful art gallery.

• The last sensational stop of the day is Makana Chocolate Factory. See craftsmen creating chocolates and taste the results.

Art and Gardens of Marlborough

• You choose, visit 4 gardens/art studios/galleries, strictly gardens or strictly art or mix it up
• Many private gardens open their doors for you to enjoy, some include Woodend, Barewood, Hortensia House, Grove Mill, Hunters Winery, Leighvander, Lundon Hill and more
• Includes a lunch stop at a picturesque winery restaurant or as appropriate
• Scenic Marlborough inspires talented painters, sculptors, weavers and potters and this tour will introduce you to studios in town, country and the Sounds
• Venues may include, Millennium Art Gallery, Oriel Gallery, Flax weaving, Ceramics & Sculpture Park
• View or buy works by local and leading national artists at public, private & winery galleries, soak up a summer vineyard concert, take in a local or touring theatre performance or browse for antiques

Scenic Marlborough and Half Day Wine Tour (A Full Day Tour)

• This full day Marlborough Experience takes you across the Wairau Plains from Cloudy Bay across to the foot of the Richmond Ranges traveling through farmland to the seaport of Havelock.

• Have time to have a short explore and morning tea (own cost). Travel on through one of the most picturesque roadways in New Zealand, the Queen Charlotte Drive. Here you will travel from the vistas of the Kenepuru Sound, through the Mahau sound and into The Queen Charlotte Sound, all by road. Remember your camera as the views are amazing.

• Departs Picton 9am, Blenheim 9.30am. Drop off Picton 5.30pm, Blenheim 5.00pm, Min 2 people.

Marlborough Icons Tour (A Full Day Tour)

• Enjoy the three icons of Marlborough – Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, the Marlborough Sounds and Marlborough Greenshell Mussels.

• 10 am approximate collection, tours require a minimum of 2 persons. Season: 1 November to 31 March (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day & Waitangi Day).
