Point View Lodge offers hosted boutique luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in a tranquil environment. With sweeping views over Lake Taupo to Rangatira Point and down to the lake and Mountains of Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe. Only six minutes from both Taupo Airport and the shopping and restaurant centre of Taupo.

Spacious and inviting the lodge has been designed and appointed to suit the discerning traveller. You will be captivated by our bush walk and private naturally heated mineral pool.

Accommodating a maximum of three couples, this boutique lodge has expansive private rooms, immersed in comfort, flooded in sunshine, with either sparkling Lake and Mountain Views or over lawn to the lodge’s bush reserve.

Wining, Dining & Breakfast at Point View Lodge

Every evening, guests are welcome to gather for canapes in the guest lounge or, in summer, on the deck. The selections change daily and are matched with local New Zealand wine.

Dining at Point View is on request, with first class cuisine using only the freshest ingredients. Enjoy New Zealand beef, lamb, seafood and vegetables, matched with local New Zealand wines.

On Saturday evenings, we offer a set three course dinner, served in the guest dining room and on other nights, a more casual two course plat du jour meal is offered.

Guests have the choice of either a continental or full gourmet breakfast. All served with endless cups of delicious coffee in the dining room or outside in the alfresco courtyard.

Hosts

Your hosts at Point View are Bruce and Tricia Robertson. Bruce and Tricia are described as eloquent, charming and engaging. Staying at Point View is truly a New Zealand experience and Bruce and Tricia extend a warm and inviting ‘home away from home’ to all their guests.

Location

Point View Lodge is located just minutes from the waters edge of Lake Taupo and Town Centre. Taupo is only a 45 minute flight from Auckland, with Taupo Airport located only a few minutes from Point View Lodge, or a 3.5 hour drive. Helicopter transfers are also available.

Driving Directions

Drive around Taupo lakefront (main road), turn left (from north) or right (from south) up Napier-Taupo Road (sign posted), take first road on right Arrowsmith Ave, Chesham Ave is 4th road on the right, Point View Lodge is at number 20. If gates are closed push button on left hand post.
