Luxmore Jet Lake Te Anau

Luxmore Jet operates scenic tours on the Upper Waiau River, which flows between Lake Te Anau and beautiful Lake Manapouri.

Jetboat excursions explore the untouched wilderness of Fiordland National Park a World Heritage Area in the South Island of New Zealand.

Activity Options

JETBOAT TOUR

• Luxmore Jet offers you “the best jetboat ride ever” a one hour jetboat tour down the Upper Waiau River to beautiful Lake Manapouri in the Fiordland National Park.

• During the tour your jetboat driver tells you about the history and geography of the area and you also have the opportunity to view 3 Lord of the Rings film locations.

• Once on Lake Manapouri you experience the peace, tranquility and breathtaking beauty of the lake and snow-capped mountains.

• On the return journey you stop to maybe see both brown and rainbow trout in the deep clear pools of the river.

• One hour in duration, allow 90 minutes including transfers.

FLY and BOAT

Kepler Mountains Fly and Boat

• 30 minute jetboat ride to beautiful Lake Manapouri where you will be met by the floatplane for a 12 minute scenic flight back to Lake Te Anau.

Nor West Lake Fly and Boat

• 30 minute jetboat ride to beautiful Lake Manapouri where you will be met by the floatplane for a 20 minute scenic flight to the Nor West Lake as seen in The Lord of the Rings and return to Lake Te Anau.

Doubtful Sound Fly and Boat

• 30 minute jetboat ride to beautiful Lake Manapouri where you will be met by the floatplane for a 40 minute scenic flight to Doubtful Sound viewing the Nor West Lake as seen in The Lord of the Rings and return to Lake Te Anau.

Helijet Lord of the Rings

• Take a one hour jetboat ride with Luxmore Jet on the Upper Waiau River to view Lord of the Rings film locations.

• On your return Southern Lakes Helicopters will be waiting to take you on a 40 minute flight over the Kepler Mire where Frodo and Sam tramped through the Dead Marshes.

• Fly over Lake Manapouri to the Norwest Lakes where the Fellowship left Rivendell. Here the helicopter will land to view the magnificence of the Norwest Lakes and Lake Manapouri before returning to Te Anau.
