Kahu Kayaks offers freedom rentals for those who wish to explore the Abel Tasman coastline at their own pace, and a great range of guided kayaking trips from their base in Marahau – the gateway into the Abel Tasman National Park.

Freedom kayaking Abel Tasman allows you the independence to see the wonders of the coastline at your own pace. Kahu Kayaks will equip you with everything you need to have an enjoyable and safe sea kayaking experience.

All freedom kayaking packages include the following:

• A comprehensive kayak briefing before your kayak trip starts
• Instruction on the use of sea kayak equipment
• Kayak safety briefing along with expected weather and sea conditions in the Abel Tasman
• A kayak guide will accompany you for the start of your sea kayak journey to help with kayak technique and give any final advice to make your adventure safe and fun!
• Kahu Kayaks are also happy to help with ideas for packing your kayak and trip itinerary

• One way kayak hire available. Retrieval Costs: $40 Double $35 Single (passenger fares additional)
• DOC camp passes $12 per night (this should be pre-booked)
• Full range of camping equipment for hire
• All kayaks come fully equipped with quality safety gear
