2 Day Tour – Waitomo Caves & Rotorua

DAY 1 Auckland – Waitomo – Rotorua

  • An exhilarating ride south along the banks of the mighty Waikato River through farmland
  • Passing through small settlements along the way as you head for the stunning Waitomo Caves
  • Drift silently in a boat & experience the Glow-worm cavern lit up by thousands of glow worms
  • Now head East through the rugged King Country around beautiful Lake Whakamaru to Rotorua
  • Relax in Rotorua for the night and take a dip in a thermal pool if you wish

DAY 2 Rotorua – Auckland

  • Sightseeing is the order of the day. Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve where you can take a guided tour through this geothermal wonderland and experience first hand New Zealand’s Maori Culture
  • Enjoy lunch overlooking Lake Rotorua, then ride around this magnificent lake before your journey home through the pasturelands of Matamata and the Hauraki Plains, back to Auckland

3 Day Tour – Bay of Islands/Northland

DAY 1 Auckland – Omapere

  • Make a start heading through Auckland onto the Twin Coast Discovery Highway
  • Stop at the well known Matakohe Kauri museum, have lunch and discover the local history
  • Carry on through the Waipoua Forest to Tane Mahuta, the oldest & largest native Kauri tree in NZ
  • Follow the western coastline to Omapere, where you will stay the night by the Hokianga Harbour.

DAY 2 Omapere – Paihia

  • Catch the ferry across the Hokianga Harbour and head North following the Twin Coast Discovery Trail, through the wonderful forests of Northland, before making your way to Doubtless Bay
  • Stop for lunch in the wonderful seaside village of Mangonui, then make your way down through the historic town of Kerikeri and into the magnificent Bay of Islands where you will be staying in Paihia

DAY 3 Paihia – Auckland

  • Cruise out to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock, on a relaxed 4 hour journey onboard a luxury Catamaran, stopping at one of the most picturesque Islands along the way
  • Back on dry land, head off along the Eastern coastline, through Whangarei back to Auckland

4 Day Pacific Coast Highway Tour

DAY 1 Auckland – Te Kaha

  • Your journey begins with a magnificent ride along the Eastern Beaches of Auckland into the gold mining region of Waihi where you will find New Zealand’s largest open cast gold mine
  • Make your way to the city of Tauranga, then head East along the enchanting Pacific Coast Highway, to Te Kaha, where you will stay at the local hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean

DAY 2 Te Kaha – Gisborne

  • Head East along the rugged and enchanting coastline of the Pacific Coast Highway to the East Cape, a place where the local Maori culture is still revered, then continue south to Gisborne

DAY 3 Gisborne – Rotorua

  • Leave for the beautiful Hawkes Bay, well known for its fine Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties and stop for lunch in Napier, the Art Deco capital of New Zealand
  • Having enjoyed lunch overlooking Hawkes Bay it is now time to head north through Taupo and onto Rotorua, the geothermal wonderland of New Zealand, relax in a thermal hot pool if you wish

DAY 4 Rotorua – Auckland

  • Sightseeing is the order of the day. Visit Te Puia Geothermal Reserve,  where you can take a guided tour through this geothermal wonderland & experience first hand New Zealand’s Maori Culture
  • Enjoy lunch overlooking Lake Rotorua, then ride around this magnificent lake before your journey home through the pasturelands of Matamata and the Hauraki Plains, back to Auckland

10 Day North Island Tour

DAY 1 Auckland – Omapere

  • Cruise through Auckland onto the Twin Coast Highway, stopping at Matakohe Kauri Museum

DAY 3 Paihia – Tairua

  • Heading south along the eastern seaboard make your way through Auckland and onto the Pacific Coast Highway for a splendid day of riding to Tairua, on the Coromandel Peninsula

DAY 4 Tairua – Rotorua

  • An amazing ride through the winding roads of beautiful Mercury Bay and onto the Bay of Plenty as you reach Rotorua your destination tonight

DAY 5 Rotorua – Te Kaha

  • Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve where you can take a fully guided tour through this geothermal wonderland with the Pohutu Geyser and experience first hand New Zealand’s Maori Culture
  • From here make your way through the city of Tauranga, then head East to Te Kaha

DAY 6 Te Kaha – Gisborne

  • Enjoy a great ride as you head east along the rugged coastline of the Pacific Coast Highway to the East Cape, a place where the local Maori culture is still revered
  • After enjoying lunch head south to Gisborne for your overnight stop

DAY 7 Gisborne – Wellington

  • Leave for the beautiful Hawkes Bay, well known for its fine Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties and stop for lunch in Napier, the Art Deco capital of New Zealand
  • Having enjoyed a wonderful lunch overlooking Hawkes Bay it is now time to time to make your way south across the Takapau plains and over the Rimutaka Hill to Wellington, the capital of NZ

DAY 8 Wellington (Free Day)

  • Today is yours to enjoy – visit Te Papa, the national museum of New Zealand through to many galleries and cafes or even take a trip on the cable car

DAY 9 Wellington – Chateau

  • Continue North through the Central Plateau and onto your accommodation for the night at the Grand Chateau Hotel, which is situated at the base of Mt Ruapehu.

DAY 10 Chateau – Auckland

  • Your final day – head West through the rugged inland King Country  before reaching Waitomo, where you can have the opportunity to discover the famous Waitomo Cave and experience the wonder as thousands of glow worms light up this magical place
  • Make our way through New Zealand’s largest dairy and sheep farming province as you ride north along the banks of the mighty Waikato River, back to Auckland

Harley Davidson Bike Rentals

  • Rates include: Helmet, jacket, leather gloves & unlimited kilometres for greater than 3 days rental
  • All bikes are late model, low mileage Harley’s – specific models available on request
  • All bikes have passenger back rests, panniers/saddle bags and either a top box or Ventura pack
  • Windshields available for all touring bikes
  • Full insurance with a bond/insurance excess of NZ$4,000 per bike
  • CDW available on request to reduce the bond/insurance excess
  • You must have your full motorcycle licence to rent a bike & must be older than 25
  • Day hire: 0900 to 1730 hours
  • All bikes are to be returned in a clean condition and a full tank of petrol, if not surcharge of $50.00
  • Available from Auckland, Waihi, Tauranga, Queenstown & other destinations by arrangement
