Activity Options

America’s Cup Sailing Experience Two Hour Sail

• A must do attraction in Auckland – join Explore NZ for two hours of unforgettable sailing
• A unique opportunity to participate as crew on an actual America’s Cup yacht
• Take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or sit back, relax and enjoy the sail
• No experience necessary

America’s Cup Match Race (three hours)

• For the ultimate thrill join the crew and participate match racing America’s Cup style
• Your three hour experience begins in the Viaduct Harbour where you will meet the crew and go through a short race and safety briefing
• The yachts then depart the Viaduct Harbour and after a period of practice, the action really starts, when you line up in the pre-start and compete head to head
• Racing onboard multi-million dollar America’s Cup Class yachts is the Formula One on water!
• No experience necessary

Departures

• America’s Cup Sailing Experience (2hrs) departs daily from the Auckland Viaduct
• America’s Cup Match Race (3hrs) departs three times a week from October to April from the Auckland Viaduct

• 2 or 3 hours

• Sailing’s subject to weather and minimum numbers apply
• No experience necessary
• Dress comfortably, bring an extra warm layer of clothing and don’t forget your cameras
• We are able to provide you with wet weather jackets if necessary
