Relax in comfortable guest rooms with en suite or private bathrooms. Spend time enjoying the secluded and peaceful rose garden in the company of numerous native birds, including tuis, bell birds and wood pigeons. Then when the sun goes down, watch the night sky from the cosy conservatory.

Suite Accommodation

The four guest rooms are completely separate to the hosts’ accommodation, with no shared facilities. The whole guest area is downstairs, with a separate entrance, kitchen, seated guest area, garden and spacious conservatory which provides a quiet, private environment for guests to relax.

All bedrooms feature heaters, TV, electric blankets and complimentary tea or fresh coffee.

History

Deacons Court was originally built for the Presbyterian Church as the manse for the St Andrews Church in Carroll Street. Today it is an impressive building, with lovely views of the city and the harbour.

The section of High Street where it is located is an Historic Precinct and Deacons Court is listed on the City’s historic building register.
