Fox Glacier is the largest and longest of the West Coast Glaciers, grinding it’s way from the heart of the Southern Alps down into temperate rainforest just 12km from the Tasman Sea. There are excellent views of New Zealand’s highest peaks, Aoraki and Mt Tasman from Fox township.

Nearby Lake Matheson is renowned for its reflections of New Zealand’s highest mountains. Lake Matheson has an excellent walking track around it for all fitness levels.
